A DAMNING REPORT.
In a. report upon the physical examination of men of military age by National Service ‘medical boards, issued in Blue Book form, tragic facts about the nation’s state of health are presented primarily for Parlia:ment’s consideration (says_ the Glasgow Heurold). It is revealed that of the 2; million men of military age e.\:amine.d by "the medical boards between October 31, 1917, and November 1, 1918, only 36 per cent were up to the required standard, while more than 10 per cent were totally and permanently ‘unfit for service. In other wortls, only one :man in three was found to be normally lieal-thy, and one man in ion was :1 physical wreck.
