Plunkedt nurse could be obtained free of charge. Mrs Schute proposed and Mrs Thurston seconded, that the Society should have placards printed and placed in the hospitals to this effect.

In view of the fact that the local branch of the Society is pledged to support a, remit from the Auckland Branch to the Central Council Conference _fol- incl“e.asing the Plunket nurses’ salaries, the Society would appreciate 'lllcrease<l donations, as, of c.olll'se_. the expenses will be "increased accordingly. . Nurse Mcßride reported that there are 138 babies on the books—Tnihape 80, Mangaweka. 22, Hunterville 21, Ohakune 15. ’ New cases rlnring the month. 12Taihape 4, Mangaweka -1, Hunterville 1, Ohakune. 2, Raetihi 1. The general health of the child‘:-‘en is good. A Visits paid to homes during the month totalled 119, and 83 Visitors were interviewed at the various offices.
