RUJING ON cOW<’3ATCHER. WHANG.-SLREI, April 24.
Following upon a fatal accident which occurred at Tauraroa. yesterday af't'.'ernoon, whereby the death ensued of :1 Dalniatian named Edward Rakich, the acting-coroner (Mr J. D. McKenzie) held afiiiqtxest. The evidence showed that deceased was working on the ‘railway construction at? Tauraroa. He" Was riding on a cowcatcher of an engine and jumped 01$ before the train stopped. .Evidently- he must have slipped and fallen on the track.
