At the invitation of Mr and Mrs GoldSblU‘)', a number of fl'iOlld>‘ met. at their home on Friday night last, to welcome the Rev. ‘A’. Lea, the new Methodist minister. A most. pleasant social evening \vus spent in so;lg.=.. music. games and chat, Mr and Mrs Goldsbury making everyone fell at home. Songs were given by Misses Campbell and Linton and Mrs Clinton and Messrs Goldsbury and Prime, while Miss Pile a.nd‘Mesdames Prime. Linton, E. Goldsbury and Scherf gave instrumental items, and Mr Phillips gave a recitation. During the evening Mr McCorkindale, on behalf of the Ohutu congregation welcomed Mr Lea.to the district. Mr Lea. suitably responded. A bountiful supper brought a pleasant. evening to a close, with expressions of thanks to Mr and Mrs Gclrlsbtiry for their hospitality.
