VV. J. Cuthbertson, :1 retur_ned soldier, was found {cad in a street lavatory with a bottle, stated to have confained -poison, alongside. Cuth-bertson had a distinguished career in the New Zealand Expedftionary Force. He got his sergeant stripes after the battle of Flers, in 1916, and the Military Medal was conferred on him.
