TUNNELLERS' GRIEVANCES.

After !being “out” for several weeks" the men Working in the Huarau Tun-a nel on’ the ‘North Auckland Trunk! railway, about 92 miles from .Auck~4' land, resumed work yesterday. 111 telegraphing this information to the Auckland Railways’ League, the Coma missioner stated that work had been! resumed pending the Dominion Coin-4 ference to be held next month. ' In addition to discontent at Hau-I 1-au, there is also trouble at Otiral Tunnel, on the Midland Railway. and‘: it is presumed that the men on the! various railway works throughout the! Dominion are appointing delegates to wait on the Government concerning their grievances._ The Haurau Tun-v nel is going through what is lmown.‘ as “rotten? country, and requires men; of special skill, Present men are!’ asking 16/ per day instead of 15/.
