Branting declares it is not likely that Kapp will be surrendered to Germany, but in the event of Sweden deciding to expel him, he will be al]owed to decide to which country he will proceed.

' ; Details of a sensational coup have ‘revealed that there had been rumours of a. mysterious plot, and that the military partyhad overthrown the Government. It now appears a. num‘ber of officers had arranged to resign on 15th April, a.nd at the last rfibment decided to take the Communist leaders. into their confidence. ‘A rising was postponed pending a conference for arranging Communist co-operation in all industrial areas. The Government, however, learned from spies what was afoot and a detachment of soldiers entered the Conference Hall on the 15th, and made everyone pris-_ oner. It is stated the plotters actu?‘ ally met in a. room of the Ministry of Defence.
It is reported that Hoelz has been arrested. » . _
