The Governors of Middlesex Hospital have agreed to the amalgamation of tfie cancer research department and the Blind Sutton Institute of Pathology; with the object of nlore closely investigating the cancer scourge. The Dean of the medical school dwelt on the terrible character -of the scourge and the importance of concentrating efforts. This will be better realised when it is known that one woman in eight and one man in eleven died of cancer in England and Wales.
