HEAVY GALE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.
NEW PLYMOUTH This Day.
The heaviest northerly gale for a. long time has been raging since yestrday, causing anxiety respecting the American steamer Loraine lying at the wharf. "The vessel_. however, lay quite safely, and the worst of the gale is now over. The gale came from the worst possible quarter, and afforded a fine test of the harbour’s capability.
