The trial of Denis Gunn was red I sumed. W'illianl Blundell, gaol wards *'.er, said he took accused’s fingerprints on June 5, 1918, and forwarded them to the Commissioner of Police with the signature of prisoner. Detective ‘Young gave evidence of the search on March 20th of a. section" in at gully near the accused’s resia deuce. In a. dense clump of blackberries he found a canvas bag con-' taining three revolvers, 299 pennies,‘ 30 rounds of ammunition, and an empty shell of the same calibre. As a. result of a further search, he found a; sandbag containing a five pound note, postal note for £l6 13/6, silver coins, four rounds of ammunition, and part of :1’ military service paper, with £2 written on it. On top of the silver were :1 bunch of keys. In the third cash bag found were 448 pennies and one florin. On the ground beside the bags were a jemmy. On the day of Gunn’s arrest witness searched his house, and found the casing of an tric torch in a. room. occupied ‘by/' Thomas Gunn. The butter-y was misSlng,
