“THE LUCK OF THE NAVY.” The Allan Wilkie Dramatic Com» pany will present at the Town ‘Hall on Wednesday next the great naval drama, “The Luck of the Navy,” which is fresh from a two years’ run. at the New and the Queenfs Theatres, London, and is now showing to croWd~ ed attendances at the Manhattan. Opera House, Nev; York. The London Company was _transi’erl-ed in its entirety to New York, where thedrama and the company were greatly eulogised by the Press of that city. The plot of the drama concerns the adventures of Lieutenant. Clive Stanton, V;o., R.N., of H.M. subinarine 5-A., ‘Who is beset by a clique of Hun spies in England. Chief among the Kaiser’s; secure a secret code which is in the young English naval officer and a‘ lGel'man who poses as a wounded Bel-9 ygian’ colonel. The spies endeavour to lsecur 2.‘ secret code which is in the possession of Lieutenant Stanton, and also attempt to kidnap him to Germany in an aeroplane. The action of: the play is lively, and some tensely dramatic situations are evolved,. whilst there is a seasoning of humour to add zest to the theme. The piece is to be staged. on a lavish scale a.nd the scenery is an exact replica. of the original London production, having been specia_lly prepared from ‘photographs.
