On Monday next, at the Town Hall, residents will be“ afforded an opportunity of seeing “Meg, the Mighty Atom,” said to be a wonderful artist, who has won the hearts of very large audiences everywhere. “Inimitable, incomparable and irresistible” is the way one city critic described “Meg.” This clever performer will be supported by a full company_ of professional artists specially selected by Mr Louis Alsace for this tour. The list includes the Campbells, ‘two clever English eoncertina “duetists,” of whom the Lyttelton Times says: “They are .absolutely masters of the concertina, and their repertoire embodies a. wide range. linitating cathedaral chimes to perfection, they would discharge to the solemn tones of the organ, and then sandwich in musical comedy ditties.” Miss Wendy Dale, according ‘-to an exchange, is “particularly clever in humorous character work,” and also appears in conjunction with “Alphonse” in character sketches. Louise Alsace is an artist who has appeared in ‘the leading vaudeville theatres of the world in his instrumental act, in which is introduced violin, ’cello, and “alsaeephone”-—-the violin.’ with the human voice. Miss Eileen Barnsley is a dramatic. soprano who played the leading roles in many musical productions, and she will be heard in some excerpts from popular operas, as well as favourite ballads. - Miss Mollie King is solo pianistc, and "accompaniste.
