i Lovers of the good old game of football are beginning to wake up -and the prop-osalgthat a club be formed, ‘composed of Utiku, Ohutu,_-and VVinifita players is being taken up enthusiastically here, and with the view of i)utting the proposed club on -.l’ sound footing, a meeting is to be held on the 18th inst., and a hearty invitation is extended to all interested to be present. The meeting is to be held 011 the Recreation Ground, Utiku. Seeing that lovers of outdoor amusewoent. are preparing for the winter, the question arises, “How are the long Winter evenings, that Will soon be upon us, to be spent?” Dances no .d_ol_J.bt will be prominent, but at Sogialt ‘bfiiub eculd «be easily formed, and} would do much to bring thedpeoplel together, with benefit to themselves and the township. Mr F. Harte, wh -for ‘some considerable time has been clerk at the local Railway Station, has left for Rangataua.
