I-la‘ri~y_._D‘eeley, wanted by the police on a chargeof murdering, between March 17th and 18th, Mary Etheline Webbey——-the woman who was found with her throat cut, in a lane on; March 18th——Was arrested this~after-I noon by Senior-Sergt. Fraser and Con--stable Gowg He was covered with hay in a hayloft at Flyger’s Line, four miles from Palmerston. He will ap-: pear before the “ Court to-morrow.

A fetal railway accident occurred here last night. A middle-aged man: Whose name is believed to he J. D« Robertson, a. stranger to the town, was caught %by a shunting train on‘. a paft of the linetnot libsed by pedestrians ~ He was knocked down by the engine and carried some distance. The body was cut to pieces. From letters found on the body, deceased comes from Singapore.
