I Rev. Jasper Calder preached his farewell sermon on ‘Sunday night at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. He stated he had been forced to resign the temporary curacy on the demand made by the Vestry in consequence of his remarks made in his sermon just before Lent, in which he spoke strongly on the subjec? of church reform, urging‘ that authorities were not dealing with the matter adequately, saying they should take the laity into their confidence.
