PRICES SHOW A DECLINE‘

At the Addington. market ‘the yarding of all classes of stock was smaller. ‘Except in lambs values, nearly all sections, showed a, decline on recent rates, though for the best quality of fat stock it was good. Buyers. however, were few, and secondary stock sold poorly.
Sheep.—The 'yal'ding was about 33 per cent. less than at the préjcedizzg sales. Competition was lifeless, and though the ‘sale improved slightly, values were below recent rates. The dry weather was a factor in the stock demand. Forward lambs 19/3 to 25/8, ordinary-lambs 14/6 to 19/, cull lambs 8/ to 13/9, ewe lambs 24/, 80061 2-tooth ewes 32/6, ordinary 2-tooth ewes ‘23/ to 30/, good 4 and" 6-tooth ewes 37/6, low conditioned 19/ t 0 24/6, failing mouthed ewes 16/ to 22/, sound mouthed ewes 21/6 to 28/6._ 4, 6 and 8-toot-h wethers 25/6 to 219/, 2-tooth Wethers 23/ to .27/. Fat lambs.——44oo were yarded, compared with 3100 the preceding week. Except for prime lambs there was a distinct drop in values, representing from 2/ to 2/6 per head. The bulk of the yarding went to the freezing buyers. Extra. prime lamibs 33/ to 39/, prime lambs 27/9 to 32/7, medium 25/ to 27/3, lighter and unfinisheh 21/4 to 25/9. Fat sheep.—A
slightly lesser ya}.-ding than last
week. Values, except for the primest, receded from 2/ to 3/ per head. Competition from freezing buyers was restricted, Exirzx prillle wethers 44/ to 49/6. prime 36/6 to 43/, medium 31/6 to 36/, lighter 28/ to 30/, extra prime ewes 49/ to 60/, prime 34/ to 40/6, medium 30/ to 33/5, lighter 20/ to 28/6. Fat caltle.— A much smaller _vartling than usual. Bidding was sl:>.cl<, and though prime beef about maiiitairirsd rece.u’r values, prices for secondary beef receded.
