MR G.L. STEAD’S SALE.

_ CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. At the sale of Mr G. L. Stea"(l’s today Melee was bought by Mr F. L. Eastgate for 700 gs-., Kilmoon went to Mr T. Rutherford at 270g5., and Mr G, McDonnell secured the two-year old Wanigan at 200 gs. Mr H. S. Kyle was the principal buyer at the sale of the ‘BI-ackenfield stud. There was a spirited competition for the possession ofethe imported sire Nassau, and Mr Kyle secured the horse at 2100 gs. Mr Kyle also bought the Ibrood mares Cassock and Mountain Dream at 475 gs ancl 270 gs respectively.
