I THE KING’S. K TO-NIGHT ' “THE MAN FROM KANGAROOR’ F The setitng and atmosphere of “The ,Man From Kangaroo” which is to be {presented by E. J. Drovers-, fblack-trackers, cattle! duifers, stockmen, and sundowners are all there in the living flesh, The stockyard, the sheep, the cattle, even thelocal ‘pub? are just as they were taken from the original. The cool
surface of the ‘crick’ forms a, pleasing _contrast. to the haze and heat; of the scrub——the setting is redolent. of gum leaves and the quiet; mysterious charm of the lieart of the busli. Unbroken horses and unbroken men all. contribute to this gfeat epic of ‘Anstralian life. The part o}‘ the heiress» -—lleroine ‘Muriel’ is faithfully played by dainty Brownie Vernon, who makes a typical Austr:llian girl-——gonT.le but determined, and both in appearance" and acfing she forms an ideal. worthy of the heroic efforts of her sweet»heart ‘Snovry’ Baker, whose part affords scope for some wonderful feats of diving, swimming, shooting, boxing_,. riding, etc. In fact in this seven reel supei-—feature Mr Baker is claimed to exploit almost the whole gamut of athleticism. The principals are sup» ported by a. specially chosen company, and the production‘ is said to excel “The Lure of the Bush. " The box plan at the King’s Tlxealw {Phone 26)S is establishing ‘new records for heavy booking.
