It is now intended by the_ three Governments corlcerlied, ' namely, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, to take over not only the island of Nauru, but also ‘the Pacific Phosphate Confi3"a‘ny’s interests in Ocean Island. This means that the Company ’s business at the two islands mentioned, together with the whole of the plant. and machinery, will be taken over as a going concern. It is hoped that the transfer will take place about July Ist next. The arrangement, when completed, will ensure a supply of phosphates to New Zealand producers for centuries to come__ _ ’
