On Easter Monday 9. picnic -and ‘sports will be held at Bennett’s Sid- . ing, when pedestrian events will be arranged for men, women, and children. A fine programme for horses has also been compiled, consisting of ‘ eight diflerent events. ‘_ In addition to 'the above, high jumpingh-::chain-step-ping, and the various ite ',which go . to make the day pass Qlgsently, will ‘ be provided. Hot water and milk will be provided free, and no charge will ‘ ‘be made for admission to the ground.‘ In the evening a dance will be held, . ‘admission for gentlemen being 2/6, ladies free. .- On Monday niornfng ibrakes will’ leave the Taihape Post Office in vtime for the sports. _ » I ;
