VVASHINGTON, March 30.

It is reported from Buenos Ayres that a treaty between Italy and Argentine for free exchange of food stuffs -has been drawn up, and a similar treaty between Argentina and Japan is in process‘ of negotiation, while pourparlers with a similar purpose are being exchanged between Argentina and Portugal. The proposed Japo-Al-gentiiian al-I'a.ngement will include wheat, meat, fish, veget-. ables and fruits. Japan will export to Argentina canned and salt fish, canned fruits, and vegetables, while Argentina will send to Japan. wheat and beef. The Japanese liinister, Nakumum, speaking on tlle.sllbjer;t._ said: “I consider the Treaty of great importance to Japan owing to the high prices of foodstuffs there and the state of unrest prevailing among the people. I believe the Treaty alone will be suflicient to allay unrest.”
