FOUND DROWNED.

VVANGANUI, March 304

Yesterday morning the body of an elderly man was found in the river near Castlecliff. ‘ So far the deceased lms not been identified. but in a pocket was found a Post Ollice Savings Bank book with the name Thomas W'all. An entry showed that £lO had been paid into the account at Waverley on March 20, An invoice from John Muir and Son. VVa\'erley, was also found.‘ Apparently deceased was a resident of Waverley. Deceased was evidently about 65 years of age and sft. 6in. in height. His clothing H included a dark grey Norfolk suit, white tennis shirt. He was wearing a Waterbury watch and silver_ chain. Deceased is bald a.nd has a ‘short, sandy beard, turning grey. .
