The bulk of the ollerings comprised summers and recent caught skins for which classes increased rates were 'o-btained. The stale winters and off season winters on oi’i'er were not at.tl'active and realised good prices cofi'§idering the quality of the skins. In order to give <l'li€.-nts it good idea of prices ruling‘ for the skins coming in at present, we quote herewith a few of the lots taken from our catalogue:-3 bales runners and suckers realised 54i—;d per lb, 12 bales light racks 91d per lb, 4 bales summers‘ 4d per lbs, 5 bales heavy racks 91?-,d per lb, 12 bales prime racks 105.‘_»d per lb, 1 bale early autums 125.‘_,-d per lb, 2 bales summer broken '4od per lb. All other descriptions sold well. despite the fact that latest calblecl advices from London and America reported the market quiet. While these prices are ob'tain::ble__ we strongly recommend clients to continue forwarding their consignments regularly. Large quantitics are arriving. and clients would assist materially by sending theirskins in as e.:il'ly :25 possible before sales.
