111 the House of Commons, at ques‘tion time, Mr J. Hope, Financial Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions, said that sales of surplus war property, had been made. to the Belgian Government. to the value of £6,000,000, which included railway lines, locomotives, tugs, launches, barges, bridges, and huts, and the whole contents of the arsenal at Mons. The sales to the French Governnient-, which had not yet. Been entirely scheduled, and were estimated to umount. to £20,000,000, comprised railway lines and .'mst.ullat.ions_, w-harves, bridges, huts, dock equipment, engineering plant, and the whole of the contents of dumps in the advanced areas _and in the vicinity of Calais, and Dunkirk, covering stores of every con- i ceivatble nature. These stores were; still being transfened to the respee-I tive Groverninenfs. I
