CHURCH GUTTED BY FIRE.
_ WAIPAWA, This Day. The Catholic Church was gutted by fire early this morning. The flames: had -obtained a good hold when discovered, and travelled rapidly. The fire started in the sanctuary, but the cause is unknown. The building Was insured for £550 and the furnishing £175 in the Standard; organ for £375 in the Norwich Union. The loss is estimated at about £2OOO.
