i TONIGHT. } This Tuesday evening at the Town iHall, Mr John Ho’pkins will present. l“The Dnndies of 1920,” a combination’ that is said to more than main ,tain the high standard set by prelvious companies of “Dandies.” Whilst. lclean, wholesome comedy (‘always a !feature of previous programmes) is still to the fore with the present company, special attention is being given to the song numbers and concerted work, particularly operatic. scenas, in which a. quartette stands out particularly well. The personnel of this Yenr’s company contains many artists new to local playgoers, notably George Sharratt (character! comedian); Annette L3113’ (soubrette and dancer), Raymond Nicholson (tenor) and Miss If/osa Walton (pianiste and monologue entertainer). Old favourites still with the company are the Misses Madeline Knight and Christina Andrews and Messrs Kennedy Black and Renn Millar. The box plan‘ is at Pratt and Co’s.
