HOTEL BLAZE IN BLENHEIM.

BLENHEIM, this day

Early on Sunday morning the Commercial Hotel. a wooden building on Grove Road, was totallyydestroyed by fire. The outbreak was first noticed in a storeroom, and had too great a hold for ‘the inmates to check. When the Brigade arrived there was no hope of saving the hotel, which was soon a roaring mass of fla.mcs. The origin is attributed to match-eating rats. Very little of the personal effects of the boarders was saved. The building was owned by the Marlborough Brewery Company, and occupied by P. Cridon. Tho insurances are not available.
