DANDIES OF 1920.
To-morrow (Tuesday) evening next at the Town Hall, “The Dandies of 1920,” Mr Edward 81-anscombe’s latest company will appear under the direction of Mr John Hopkins. For this yeat-’s tour Mr Hopkins has secured" four new English artists and these together with some old favourites, from one of the strongest companies that has yet toured the Dominion. Principal among the newczomers is Mr George Sharrattfcharacter comedian and producer. Mr Sharatt has had consideralbvle experience in the “Dandies” class of Work in -England, and he comes with an excellent reputation. Mis-ss Annette Lang is another newcomer, and she is a soubrette and ‘dancer of great ability. Miss Rosa Walton is a pianiste and monologue entertainer who has been highly praised, and Mr Raymond Nichols is a. lyric tenor -and light comedian. The specially retained artisrts are the Misses Madoline Knight and Christina Andrews and Mess-rs Renn Millar and eKnnedy Black. The programme to be present-ed is entirely new to local audiences.
