RAILWAY CROSSING COLLISION.

HORSE KILLED, TRAP SM.-XSHED NGARUAWAHIA, March 13. An old man named Benjamin Stubbing, driving a horse and trap, collided with the Thames exp‘fess train at the crossing opposite the Waipa Hotel at 12.25 pm. today, The horse was killed, the trap smashed, and the driver just escaped his death by inches. He was uninjured. When spoken to he said his mind was on another matter, and he did not see the train coming, although nothing obstructed his view.
