PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The mollthl,v meeting of the above Society was held in the Nurlsle’s room. Town Hall. on Fr-iday. March sth, Present: rVlesd:lmeS de Lautour (chair), Emerson. Somerville; Jo'blin. Loughnan, Bennett, Matthews. Shute. and the secretary. An apology of absence was received from Mrs Timbs. The resignation of Mrs Mercer was eceived with regret, and the committee moved that a letter of appreciation of her services be forwarded to hex‘.
A letter was also received from {he Auckland Branch requesting this branch to support :2 remit to the General Conference. 'thaf Plunket Nu:-se’s salaries be increased. Thié was heartily supported. Nurse Mcßride reported thatqthere are 133 babies on the books, Taihape 75. Mangaweka 22, Hunterville 2.1. Ohakune 15. “
Visits to homes during the month fotalled 108 and 68 visitors were interviewed at the various ofiices.
