(From Our Own Correspondent.)
‘ One of 1110 most important. of our loc-21.1 Methodist Cliurch gatherings is the Annual Harvest, Festival. and this year’s event promises to excel all previous festivals, for on Sunday next two services will be held in the Church. Rev. VV. Hocking will conduct the morning service, and the Re\'_ Hall has kindly consented IO take the evmling service. It is years since we have had an evening service in Uhutn, and “Your Own" hopes that both services will be largely attended. On the Monday evening the social and sale of produce will take place and advantage will ‘be taken of the occasion to bid good-by; to the Rev. Hocking, who during his ministry in Taihape has made many friends in Ohutu. Don't forget. 1".-on dates. the 14th and 15th inst. “'0 ar

It is not as if the Government did not possess the money, for the flagrant way in which they waste public money is appalling, the trip t.o Samoa and the coming visit of the Prince of Wales being two glaring examples. The writer is mindful of j-the respect due to H.R.H. as anyone else, but t-hat does not warrant the waste of public Inoney when money cannot be found to carry on our educational system decently.
