MORE SIN.-N FEIN MURDERS.
LONDON, March 10.
A party or Sinn Feiners entered a grocer-’s shop in a village near Tharles, Tipperary, and fired revolvers at two constables who were making purchases for the barracks. .Consta.ble Herne took cover, shooting from behind the counter until he Was killed by a, bullet. His companion, who was not injured, fired until the raiders decamped.
A farmer named Martin Cullinane was killed by a revolver fired through a. W-il1(‘l0‘W while visiting friends in the Atherry district.
Sir Edward Carson, speaking at Belfast, «said that if Sinn Fein terrors were attempted in Ulster the whole society would be organised 'to end the dastardly crimes. He denied {hat "General Holman had been prisonered.
The Irish authorities have summoned. a number of banks suspected of having relations with the Sinn Fein to attend a private inquiry in Dublin for the inspection of accounts, ‘securities and other documents.
Though the proceedings at the Ul- - Unionizst Council have not been divulged, it. is reported that Sir E. Carson advocated acceptance of the new Home Rule Bill. Another account says thflf his speech was morely a juglicial survey of various possible courses. He pointed out that the new Bill safeguards Ulster. also that the Home Rule now on the Statute Book will operate soon unless repeal‘ed. The council will re-assemble on Wednesday. after local consulfatio-ns. It is‘. believed if fhe main principles of the Bills are accepted. it will be condiiionallv on the inclusion of Donnsml.
