A SERIOUS BREAKDOWN‘

Owing to the collapse of the firebrick lining in the furnace of the large water-tube boiler at «the Tram-_ way power-house at a late hour last night, it was found necessary to severely curtail the services on all lines this morning. As it will not be DOS‘ sible to complete repairs before Saturday, severe curtailment of "tramway services in the city and suburlbs is inevitable during the next few daysThe public is‘ being appealed to relieve pressure where possible by walking. Serious stoppages of ‘the trams for 40 minutes-at midday today wag theresiult of a mishap to one of the generators.
