Napier merchants were advised today that 50 per cent of the Waihenlo’s calfgo'of 40,000 cases of bonzine was to ‘be ‘diverted to Auckland. An urgent meeting of the Chamber of Commerce
passed a motion strongly protesting agaimst this act.ion_of the Board of Trade, and appealing to the Prime Minister for justice to the district. It zwas pointed out fhaf Hawke’s Ba)’ would be in a very bad way if the ‘order was carried out.
