A CAUTION TO HOUSEHOLDERS.
During the last few days somel rather clever robberies have taken; place". The enterprising burglar has| only operated in a somewhat small’ way, making his time on duty from‘ about 7 pm. to 9 p.m., after people‘ have left for the pictures or somewhere else, but the experts at the‘ ibusiness were not very particulal !whether people were out or in. 3 In one case a house was entered while the whole family were in their dining room with lights burning. Of course that room was left severely alone, but other rooms were entered, jewel and other boxes broken open, and a considerable quantity of loot and money taken. It will be'advisable for householders to see that their doors and Windows are made fast -when leaving their houses, not ~‘be« cause ,that would keep the clever, enterprising fossickers in other peo.ple’s claims out, but because it would give extra trouble and otherwise make discovery and detection easier. ‘Several cases have already been reported, and if the delinquents have not ‘departed they may encounter some lsurprise in further prosecuting their levening ventures.
