AUCKLAND, Feb. 24. The lslaughtermen employed at Westfield, Southdown, HOl-otiu, and Whangarei Heads held 11, secret ballot on the question of whether :1 legal strike should be declared. The proposal to strike was carried by 71 votes to 14.
