Correspondence was received from = e the Hastings Council with reference to the Ta.ihape—Napier-Hastings road. From the Taihape Postmaster re mails per the night express. it was decided that as this was a. matter of considerable importance to the district, the secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department be written to urging the necessity of mails both in and out «being carried by these trains. A copy of the letter to be sent to the local postmaster and to Mr W. 8. Glenn, M.P. A letter was received from the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce promising to furnish a copy of the “wan‘iganui District Development Lgagugzs report, and to notify the amount of subscription the Taihape {‘j.h;m,l~,m--would have to pay to become asso-
