SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL FUND.
Blood has been spilt on the slopes of Gallipoli, go, and, if needs be, die.— Jas. Carroll. The above was th e mandate to one of New Zealand’s Reinforcements on leaving thi s shores. The supreme sacrifice wa s asked for which many willingly gave. What are wo doing 0 r giving to commemorate those sacrifices? We should consider it our privilege to help onward a fund that is to for ever keep green the memory of Taihape men who gave all for their home and country.
