Captain H_o]fol'd was for ‘twenty years in the Union Company-’s service, and was master of the Takapuna, Tofula,_ and other well-knowtn. ships. For a tinn; he was h:ll'bour-master at New Plymouth H 0 fodk to the sea again during the War, and served on Admiralty work in the North Sea and other wafers.
