The oflicial account of ‘the Battle of Jutland will contain the signols exchanged in the baffle. Much of the interest of the log-book which has .noW been found, lies in this, that it is understood -to contain the record of t’lle/famous signal said to have been made by Lord Beatty to the Battle. Fleet, when that fleet was tur;ling ‘away from the enemy td avoid torpedo attack. The gist of the signal from Lord Beatty is believed to
‘have been: “.If you will follow me we can lannihilate thvem.” Until all the signals at Jutland zare, published no complete account of the baftle can be wriften. Lord Fisher, in a statement to the London “Evening Nelvs” on the sudden discovery of the log-book, said, “I think it is very funny. I sllould think it might have been found before now.”
