SALE OF NGAURUKEHU SECTIONS

The Gretna Hall was packed on Tuesday, when the various sections in the estate of the late Mr Davenport Ledward, at Ngaurukehu, were offered for sale -by public auction by Messrs Murray Roberts and Company, in conjunction with Messrs Levin and -00., of Wan‘ganui. S l It was expected that there would be a great demand for the land oflfered, as it includes some of the best land in this district; but the'bidding was anything but lively, and the prices real-i ised were not up to the figures set down by competent judges as being fair value for the sections.‘ The conditions of sale were rather too severe to enable any but those with a large amount of cash to bid, and most of the sections passed into thelhands of adjoining owners. Hadthp conditions been less severe the prices realised would certainly have been better’: as it is the general opinion that the propegtfies did not realise their full values. Following are the particulars of sale:—--ESTATE OF LATE Mr. D. LEDWARD FREEHOLD ‘SECTIONS. ‘Lot 1, 2662. Ir, Mr H. Steadman, Ngaurukehu, £ll7 per acre. Lot 2,5523. 2r, Mr W.
