HIDE AND TALLOW REPORT. VVe held our usual fortllightl_V sale to-day, but submitted tallow only for sale. The Brokers have decided not to ‘put forward any hides {Er disposal until (.‘.a«binet decide whether the embarge is to be removed. Our offering of tallow was larger than usual and was keenly competed for at an increase of 2/6 to 5/ per cwt on last sale’s rates. Quotations are as under.——ln casks 67/ to 78/6, in tins, etc. 63/8 to 68/. In :1 cable just to hand from our London Oflice they advise that 1570 casks were catalogued at this weeks ’sales', but only 510 were sold. The demand was limited but prices were unchanged. Dlalgety and CO,, Lt.d., Palmel's‘r.on North, report having a good yurding' of sheep and a small yardillg of cattle at their Hunterville sale on T11t‘S(l:1Y. 10th instant. Bidding was brisk througfiout, and all lines were quitted under the halnnler. We quote:———Good mixed lambs to 19/1, rape lambs to 15/10, medium lambs 13/4. to 13/6., small lambs (5/3 to 11/, -J: and 5-year ewes 20/ to 26/5, cull ewes 9/ to 16/6, Southdown ewes 19/8 to 26/6, Southdown wetliers 26/, 2—too'th wethers 19/3 to 30/, Romney rams 2:},-gns, Sgns. to 4:lgns, 3-year steers £9; bulls £7 to £9.
