PLUNKET SOCIETY.
A meeting of the local committee of the above society was held in the Nurses’ Room, Town Hall. on Friday,
February 6th
Present. Mesdames
_ Arrowsmith (chair), Timbs, McCor- ~’ mick, Loughnan, de Lautour, and the Secretary. As Nurse Mcßride will be taking her holiday next month it was decided to apply for a relieving nurse - for that time. On the coming Show Day tlie nurse will be in attendance
on the' Show Ground. Instead of havL ing a tent on the grounds, the com-
mittee hope to have the use of the
new rest room on the grands, and the \ secretary was instructedi to ifiike the necessary inquiries. Nurse Mcßride reported that during the months of December and J‘a‘nu§fry the Work was very slack. ‘At Utikn and Mataroa the numbers had greatly decreased as most of the children are in the second year and do not require weekly visits There are now 128 babies on the books, new cases numbering 11. In December and January 217 visits were paid to homes and 169 visitorsadults 78, children 91— were received at the diflerent oflices. The following donations and subscriptions have been received: Mrs. Durrant £l, Mrs - Livingstone 5/-.
