Late entries for the Waimarino Show will be received up aill Saturd-.ly the lafzh instant. So far the entries are good, better than usual, but special prizes offered fully warrant all the competition they are likely to bring. Thera should‘ be exceptional competition in sheep, as very large areas are being clearecl of the virgin bush in readiness for growing meat and wool. Special donations are given for entertainment. Competitions such as tilting in the ring, horseback needle-threading pony leaping, hunting competitions, and such-like. The Rlaetihi District farmers are making special efforts to render the forthcoming show a record.
