NO PROSPECT OF RESUMPTION.
WHAKATANE, This Day.
There is no alteration in the strike position at the freezing works. In reply to the management Mr Sill telegraphed that he could not come at‘ present, owing to their being no boat yestei-_du}' and the fact th‘2lt'aL'conference is being helgl in Auckland on Monday. Consequently; except" the freezing plant, which has to be kept; running to keep the meat in store frozen. the works are idle, with no iminediate prospect of work being resumed.
