TAIHAPE & DISTRICT CALEDONIAN ASSOCIATION.

COMMITTEE MEETING.

A meeting of he committee of the aliove Association was held in the §Fire Brigade Hall on Tuesday night, the following members being present: Mr W. McLennan chair), J. Mortland, W. Howens, J. Munro. F. -Swindells, D. J, McLennan, Geo. Wrightson, D. Scott, W. Mccombie. A. R _Munro, D. Patterson and the seoretary, F. Marlow. .

The secretary stated that the Aand P. Society had been waited on and had given permission for the sports to be ‘held on February 23thIt was decided that the sports be held on February 26 and”§”Vot9 “Of thanks was passed to the Show committee. The following were elected to the executive. Messrs G. W1‘i8‘11tS011: DJ, McLenuan, J. Jamieson, W_ Howens, J. F. Menzies, S. Dunbar, F. Swindells. It was decided‘ to bank with the Bank of Australasia. The following were elected to the rogramme Committee: G.. Wrightfilon, J. F.‘ Menzies, and J. Munro_ ‘ It was resolved to recommend that the sum of £l4O to £l5O be given as prizes at the for-tzhcoming gathering. - ' The Programme Committee meet to~nfight (Thursday) and the General ‘Committee meet on Monday night next. A ’ It was also decided that a Scotch convert be held in the Town Hall on the night of the sports." The committee are also approaching the Railway Department to try and make arrangements for special twirns. This being all the business the meeting closed with the usual yfote of thanks to the -ch'a.ir.
