The annual Pukeokahu ‘picnic, held on Anniversary day, was favoured with a. lovely fine day, and a fairly large crowd of people. The Taihape band was in attendance and gave some good music during the day. A horse named “Tin Lizzie” won the Ford

Garage troPhY- A The Ngatarua Cup, which is to be won three times in succession was won :this time ‘by H. R. Old’s Dolly. Miles’ cup for the Open Hunters’ competition was won outright this year by A. K. Overton’s Garrison; this horse has a fine record as an open hunter. He has won seven challenge cups outright, {which is every cup he has had a leg in for. Mr Over/con is now pensioning him, as he is 20 years old. Following are the results:— Boys underel4: A. Dzoole 1, R. McLennon 2. Girls under 14: I. Boesher 1, R.
