Tailhape atlmleteswere fairly successfiul at the M‘ang;m'eka and Raetihi sports on Anniversary Day. _ At Manga.Welm_ F. Hall won the
Schoolboys" championship of the district, repisaiting his performance of Q New Y.ea,r’s Day at Taihape. R. Cowie J was second in the 220 yards amateur race, J. Wrightson third in the schoolboys’ junior championship. C. McAlinden was first in the 880 yards and ‘first in the mile. W. J . Munro won the 100 yards, 220 yards, -and 440 yards, and thieneby winning the Mangaweka. Cup ((value £lO 109) outright. At Raetihi, where the opposition was much keener, H. Eaton was third in the Szheflield Handicap, W. flambelll sec.ond_in the 440 yards, and R. McDo~nne:ll -third in the 120 yards hurdles, and 220 flat.
