A combined meeting of returned soldiers and members of the Hibernian Society xv,-E) held in the Fire Brigade Hall on ~ ‘uesday evening, Mr J. Bartosh presiding. Present: Mews M. McLaughlan, P. "Williams, R. J. McDermott, D. ‘Neagle, J, Champion, F. Thurston, E. Lenihan, C. McAlinden, H. McAlind'e.n. It was, proposed by Mr MeLaughlall and seconded by Mr Neagle, that two secretaries be ‘appointed.-Carried. Messrs J. Bartosh and E. Lellihall were nominated and elected s°illt secretaries. ' The following oifice-bearers ‘were nominated and elected, it having been decidedathawt the number of viee-presi-dents be limitcd to four:—Patron, Mr W. Glenn, M.P.; viee—presidents, Messrs 3; Quirk, .13, E. Wakemvan, Jno-. McCartin, and R. W. Smith, M.P.; treasurer, Mr E. McLaughlan; general committee, Megs;-5 M. MeLaughlan, C. McAlinden, H. McAlinden, R. J. McDermoft, J. *Champion,’F. Thurston, and all ofiieers, the committee having power -to -add‘ to their number; executive commtitee, Messrs J. Thurston, L. E. Norris, J. Mortland, D. Neiagle, and H. J. Clemence. _ , ' Proposed by Mr McLa.ughlan and; seconded by Mr Neagle, that a canvass for subscriptions be made, and that a programme be drawn up and Ithe amount of prize money be decided on at a meeting to be held on 27th January. Proposed by Mr Lenihan and seconded by Mr Bartosh, that 200 members’ tickets, at 5/ each, be printed .-and placed’ on sale as soon as possible.— carried. \ Proposed by Mr Williams, and seconded by Mr Champion, that the election of a president he left in the hands of the executive committee.Carried. ‘ ‘
