MAR.K.E!'I’ REPORTS. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing 00., LtEl._. report having held their firs? sale after the holidays in their Taihape yards on the 7th inst. A large entry of cattle came for-wm-d, but only a small yarding of sheep, several lines advertised not coming forward. The market for both sheep and cattle was inclined to drag. We quote as follows:——Thirty-two 3year bullocks £l2 Tl/, 2%-year empty heifers £6 15/ to £7 3/, 18month heifers £3 17/, 18-nionth steers £4 17/6, 2-year Hereford bull 15gns, mixed sex 2-tooths (small) 18/5, fat ewes 30/6. Horses: seven-year-old gelding, broken to. all Work, £ls; 5-year-old made £l4; 3-year filly £l4 10/; 1 do. £8; bay gelding, 9 years, £8 10/, aged horses from £3 10/. The same firm also repor.t.lla,ving held their fortnightly sale, at Hunter. ville on; Thursday last, the Bth in,s~t., when '3. fair yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. Bidding on sheep was spirited. _and all lines were. cleared at‘ satisfactory “prices. Cattle were hard to quit.
